    Anything to look out for in a diesel one of these? I believe some had a mazda engine and some the 2.0hdi from peugeot.

    Any common faults that should be watched out for aside from the normal stuff? What mpg would you adverage from one?

    Had a 2.0 mazda unit 99 before, 30-35mpg, watch for hg, if it goes and heats, (never happened to me) heads get absolutely destroyed.

    It was in the house a good while, and was a good little jeep, but not the thing for towing anything.

    Later hdis are meant to be more economical, sorry no experience.

    have one 04 hdi dont know the mpg. probably high 30's good power and lively. common faults are turbo and possibily injector pump. roadholding can be iffy. i am happy with mine overall. if it drives well is not smoky and ticksover smoothly it should be fine

    Good few of them around and you don't often see appeals for help on them. If you're looking to tow they are only rated to 1.8t.
