    have you drunk proper coffee?

maybe adjust to drinking it by sweetening it and then reducing the amount of sugar (cane) that you put into it over a couple of weeks.

Per dry weight, but not per brewed weight.

Go and get yourself a nice Cappuccino etc. from a proper Barista in a good cafe. It will be a completely different experience.
If this isn't an option and you want to drink it at home then I suggest getting a french press such as the Chombard from Bodum etc. and brewing your own freshly ground coffee. Once you get good at brewing it is a completely different drink to Nescafe.

I'd have to echo the sentiments above. It sounds like you haven't tasted real coffee yet. The difference between Nescafe Gold and a properly brewed cup of coffee from freshly ground beans is like that between two-day old puddle water and a bottle of Evian.

Go into the places mentioned above, say that you've only drank Nescafe gold, and they will probably give you sample tastes of a few different things to see what you like. It'll be worth it!

Most people here love coffee and hate Nescafe Gold, and wouldn't even relate the two.

As above, visit 3fe if you're in Dublin!

you need to go to a proper coffee shot and get it made by a barista.

Try starting off on a weak drink - like a weak cappuccino. It the taste of coffee is still too strong, try a latte. They are have more milk in them.

He said tablets, not pure powder. Substances are put in tablet form for 2 main reasons, easy dosage and so they are palatable. Many tablets are compressed and coated so you never have to taste the often vile tasting substance. Ibuprofen/neurofen is a vile substance, but my sugar coated pills go down easy.

If you are stuck with 1kg of powder you can buy a capsule making kit, where you buy gelatine capsules and a device to fill loads at once.

Pure caffeine is really bitter, I have caffeine tablets which are tasteless.
