Right wife was in a crash she was hit in the side. Car may or may not be a write off. Now at the moment she feels fine. We are not the type to claim for injuries falsely. But both my parents in seperate accidents got proper whiplash and never claimed cause it took a good while for it to kick in.
So what do you do in this case. You feel fine at the moment but if their is injuries you dont want to be in a position where you cant claim. Should she go to her gp or wait to see if she is fine. As i said she feels fine at the moment.

Wait, see what happens. Doctors are for when we feel unwell, she'll have plenty of time to go (and claim) should things change.

No point in handing over €55 or so to the GP when there's nothing wrong.

I had a bash years ago where this moron drove into the side of my car. I was uninjured and felt fine at the time and all that day. However, when I woke the next morning I was as stiff as a board, could hardly move for over an hour. This wore off during the day and was the end of the scenario - I felt no other repercussions from the crash and was fine thereafter.
My point is that the adrenaline rush from the crash will mask injuries that your wife may or may not have. I wouldn't advise you to see a doctor pre-emptively but definitely expect severe stiffness as a minimum - hope she is ok.:)
