Don't have any myself but I've been thinking about it for years!

I know a lot of people in the BJJ and MMA communities in general have them, so just wondering if anyone here has any cool ones.

The reason I ask is that I saw this one earlier online and thought it was pretty funny: Gonzo RNC: gonzotattoo.jpg

@Makikomi, your chips and peas tattoo doesn't count! :P

Just MA related tattoos? I have a fair few myself but the only MA related one I have is a tree on my back, I get a leaf added after each fight, black for wins, blank for losses, grey for draws.

    Thanks Cestheday for the photo.

BTW, I like Maki's chips and peas tattoo

    ^^ That's savage Peetrik.

I've no MA-related ones at the moment but could definitely see myself getting one or two over the next few years.. maybe corresponding MMA and BJJ ones. I've a sleeve to get finished before I start thinking about it properly though.

odd story, mate of mine saw a fella going around town sporting the logo of a particular martial arts group's as a tattoo. No big deal but this particular group have no clubs or even practitioners in Ireland so it seemed unusual. I actually emailed the head of the organisation if they had any guys in Ireland or Europe who might have their logo as a tattoo and was told nope.

So I spotted the tattoo guy in town about a year later and struck up a conversation about it. Turned out he never trained with this group or even in their martial art but he liked the logo so he got it inked.

Anywhoo martial artsy tattoo, A greek shield qualifies

Pretty cool tattoos there from Peetrik and Bambi!

@Peetrik - I've never heard of anything like that before - is it common or what? Mostly black leaves as well I see! :)

Well, here's Alan Belcher's "famous" Johnny Cash tattoo for a laugh :D

Ah its hardly an original idea, plenty of cultures use tattoos to landmark achievements/status etc.

I suppose they do, just never thought about it before!

I think that comes from the fact that most people I know with tattoos considered the tattoo itself as some sort of achievement! In general I've seen more bad tattoos over the years than good ones - you know crucifixes, shamrocks (not Ken and Frank! :D ), suns, etc.
