I have been looking for Games Design courses in Ireland, (your link is dead), and I came across these momentum sponsored (or affiliated) courses. One is in Galway and one is in Limerick of the two I came across.

They don't really go into much detail about what the courses offer, they give you a very simplistic overview. And by the looks of things, they don't really go too deep into games design (I can't imagine they give you a deep understanding in one year).
Saying that, they are set up for those on the live register for minimum of a year, and so I suppose they give you the basic building blocks from which you can yourself expand, either in further study, or to get an internship, or possibly employment.

I think at the moment, the government has now realised the capacity for games to bring money into the country with it's corporation tax, and so they want a workforce capable of attracting investment.

What it all really boils down to is, what do you think you want to do in the computer games industry. What area would you like to specialise in. Are you an artist, a programmer? What do you already know of making games? There are a lot of resources to help get you going without doing a course. Of course, doing this and being a part of a (this) course will have it's advantages.
