Eamon Gilmore wants the people responsible for all the deaths in Syria to face the consequences.

Does he not know that there were many many years of peace in Syria under al-Assad. All religions co-existed in relative harmony. But the 50,000+ deaths started happening since US and western backed militia started this conflict. SO the western powers along with western media are as much responsible for the deaths as al-Assad for even much more responsible.

Who is Gilmore listening to, who is he taking orders from?

Gilmore is a joke of a man and of a politician.

FG leave him at the foreign affairs portfolio because it means he can make a bit of noise and sound important while having no say on the domestic front.
Had to laugh, last night on the VB show, to counter the allegation of the church 'pontificating' on the abortion issue, he was accused of being Irelands chief 'pontificator' on all matters.
A jumped up little sh1t who will reap the rewards for the seeds he's sowing for himself and his party in the local elections and the general election after that.

I'm confident I can narrow it down to two:
    - Judean peoples front.
    - Peoples front of Judea.

Assad was going to massacre the insurgents, should the west have done nothing,as it is all they're doing is giving training as far as I have heard.

Gilmour must be listening to some of his European pals.
Pass no remarks of him as he will soon be history, the turncoat.

It's the bondholders, Joe. They're making Gilmore support a war in free and peace-loving Syria.

Good old Gilmore, loudest man in opposition, quietest man in government.

Didnt he say aswell after the first time the Nice election was lost, that their going to run it again & get it through no matter what to foreign delegates. Shows he has a great respect for our own democratic process.

All this bull he continually spouts about the Catholic church, Gaza & Syria, the idiot doesnt even realise how irrelevant he is

Maybe Eamonn just wants somewhere to go when he's in exile after the next election.

So, rather than complaining that "'merica" isn't going in to be evil imperialists, or some form of crazy EU coalition isn't going in, or arming a very, very disparate and fragmented resistance, he's turning it into a legal matter? And people are complaining?:S

In a quick google search I came up with this article. And, this quote really stood out:
“Last night, for the first time in months, I heard laughter instead of shelling. Even the security forces put down their guns and helped us make a snowman,” Iman, a resident of the central Shaalan neighbourhood, said by Skype on Thursday. “It was the first time in a long time that I remember talking to our neighbours who are pro-opposition.”

And a little bit disturbing, or heartening, can't really tell:
“Last night the soldiers threw snowballs at us from their checkpoints. Everyone started coming out and the soldiers would joke: ‘Oh no, is this a protest?’” he said.

reminds me of any and all irish foreign ministers making remarks about israel/palestine or some other conflict. Oh no, a small country that can't even run it's own affairs and has an image of a long term sectarian conflict has told us to calm down.
Let's all chill before they threaten us with absolutely nothing.

    Gilmore is an idiot.

And yeh Syria was such an Utopian paradise:rolleyes: that the people didn't want their rights to be respected by Assad. Sure Assad is innocent, thats what brutal dictators claim to be.

Just like Saddam, there was a time Assad was one of America's trusted tinpot dictators.

Strange how a so-called democracy can have so many tyrannical friends.

I never knew 'many many years of peace' is defined as killing up to 30,000 in a massacre, but I guess that's the US' fault as well.

The question is who is behind the_eman? Actually that's easy.

Who is behind Gilmore?.................nobody at the moment. Probably not even the Labour party soon. Certainly not the Israelis. He's always antagonising them.

The question is why anyone would want to be behind Gilmore? He's exposed himself as a nothing.

As for the idea, that the west is supporting the rebels. Why would they? When they win who knows what kind of lunatic regime will be put in place.

Gilmore now thinks he's a world class politician and that people will hang on his every word. He doesn't realise how insignificant he is, but he will realise at the next election..
