Was just thinking there have there been any notable horses who had a (hugely) successful National Hunt career and were never gelded throughout their career. The only horse I can think of is dual Champion Hurdle winner Monksfield.

Champion Hundler Alderbrook was a full horse, although his NH career was brief

Has also had some success as a stallion

Yeah he was another one. Monksfield (to my knowledge) was a largely unsuccessful Sire.

    Any horses more recently?

Reading the pedigree analysis of Un Atout in yesterday's Field - his sire Robin Des Champs was a high class hurdler himself.

    wasnt aware of this.

Raced as a stallion till he was nine , how did they keep him so calm with so many fillies in his races.

Kadastrof ran respectably in a few Champion Chases and Tingle Creeks back in the late 90s as an entire and has sired about 50 winners as a stallion.

Strange for an entire to go over fences.

Midnight Legend was another good hurdler, not a bad NH stallion

Was thinking the same when I saw this. Without meaning to be crude, would the birch not damage their "crown jewels"?
