Anyone got any ideas for a fun and cute fitted top to wear with a tweed skirt that is mostly black but has small specks of white, pink and grey in it?
I got a lacey black vest top to wear with it but I'm thinking the top is too casual and doesn't match the style of the skirt at all.

Would really appreciate any help with this!

Something to pick up the pink. Pink angora polo neck or something.

That's a great idea, and think you're right about finding something in pink to match it, the only thing is I'm wanting to wear this on a night out and would like to dress it up a bit more if possible.

Well then a nice fitted pink top. I wouldn't go slinky if it's a tweed skirt though. A nice, structured top would be suitable. Or you could get a chiffon/silk fitted blouse/shirt type thing.
I once wore a tweed skirt out and put a cream sleeveless turtleneck with it. Looked pretty nice actually and i even wore it to a nightclub. Hard to describe it but it looked nice & I got loads of compliments. I got the too in Zara but that was a few yrs ago.
I think I'd go with a sleeveless structured top to pick up the pink. Or if it's a night out then black might be nice with it too.

Thanks for the awesome help. I got a fitted pink top today in H&M in the sale and for nothing really. Also found a lovely pink angola polo as it happens and the idea is lovely but I went with the fitted top.

Thanks for the great ideas and for your help!

Tweed? That's a Fair Isle knitted skirt.

Hm fair point but it's a really heavy knitted skirt and looks very like tweed up close. Honestly I think the advice that Galway girl gave me was brill for that skirt.
