Wouldn't of thought id be allowed to do this but just seen a very similar thread so here goes.

Going to be updating the ad tomorrow with better, more "to the point" photos

Struggling to get decent offers on this car, ideally would like to see it gone in the next two weeks due to a change in circumstances.

So how much am I looking at letting her go for- All opinions I know but it would be helpful

And is it worth my while testing it to get it sold?

Struggling to get decent offers on the car because you have fcuk all information about it and one pic, no point in sticking up one photo you should wait until you are ready to sell and have the car prepared, otherwise it makes you look like a muppet. You also have no mention of miles, when nct expired, service history, interior pics, subject to inspection I will offer €12.97 :D

Any more details. as it a NCT ?

:o I left out the link to the ad in my post apologies. Now fixed.

Has some test alright but wondering would it be worth my while putting it through early.

I'd remove the fact that it's a lady owner, this has no bearing on the price. Take more photos of the interior, particularly dash and steering wheel, also a photo of engine.
Very clean and well kept corolla ,

The back seats resemble Dunsink lane.

correct me if I'm wrong but thought service interval on those corolla's was in the order of 5k, so doing 11k between service would put most people off, whats the previous service history like??

    €1300 for a 14 year old car. I would be thinking around €4-500 ;)

NCT 2013 is hardly a selling point, it just emphasises that its been for sale since 2012

yeah the ad is up a long time now needs to be updated badly just haven't had the time to sort it out. Should really of taken it down by right i suppose.

And I think its worth a bit more than 4/500 quid but thanks for the input anyway, its all helpful.

Pretty sure a service every 5k would be overkill? correct me if Im wrong.
Id be confident that every 10-11k would be regular enough especialy if that includes an oil change in the interim.
Its had an oil and filter change since then alright and will be going for another service early next week

The 1.6 engine won't help either €514 for tax.

Is it a GS or an sr?

You are right there it's 10 to 12 thousand for petrol and 3-4 thousand for diesel between services.

well you said it was a gs earlier, then you removed it and now your asking me what it is I feel you have evidence to suggest its a GS? :o

Now you have me thinking it was only facelifts that came in SR? can't find a definitive answer online

It's every 9k miles on those petrol Corollas.

How long is the NCT for?

Is there any tax on the car?

Do you have any service history?

If you do change the oil every 500miles then say in the ad that the oil is changed every 5000 miles! You might go on to say that a full service is also carried out every 10000 miles.

One of my pet hates is people who take pics of their car when it's wet to make it look shiny. Just buy a bottle of Auto Glem Super Resin Polish and take the time to polish the car! Your car looks to have nice clean, straight panels and will look well with a bit of effort. With the guts of a years test and 3 months tax I think your pricing is about right from a quick comparison to similar cars on done deal. If it has less test or tax price it accordingly.

Best of luck with the sale :)

Is the centre consul/armrest/handbrake in bright cream & the dash in black??
The front and back seats don't match either??

So sitting in it would feel a bit like sitting in a breakers yard :(

This sort of mish-mash stuff would put me right off...

    Also..
Its due a service, NCT nearly out, no mention of TAX so I presume its out too, no service history at all..

Bodywork looks good but it's wet, take some dry photos with a decent camera.

If your not going to get the above in order you'll need to start dropping the price...

Thanks Ded_Zebra really helpfull post. I wasn't trying to make it look shiny I was just in such a rush i didn't dry it first. I think it looks a lot worse like that also, I really need to get better pictures. Ill take your advice on board.

Id say Ill have to put it through a test by the looks of things if I want rid.

At least I know Im there or thereabouts on price just need to do the test and present it better

Yeah, I edited it cos then I was thinking did the GS only come in 1.3, then I wasn't sure.

Then I cartell'd it and it says its a GS, but it might have been registered wrong when it was imported

Price wise, I said 1250 before you out the link up, now I'm thinking €800ish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,532 ✭✭✭JohnBoy26

It hasn't got a ''G6 interior'' as you suggest in your advert. It has two front seats out of an AE111 Toyota Levin. The rest of the interior is the same as a standard 99 3dr Corolla. It is not a Corolla SR either. The SR came with an all black interior with a black dash also the same as a G6 Corolla. It seems your car is a 1.6 GS model.

Looks like putting a car/ad up on boards for scrutiny is asking for trouble but I expected that.
lock it up I suppose ive all the info I need. Thanks lads!

I think the g6 had the same seats as a Levin. The Cynos had them too. You are right it's not the whole interior just the front seats. I don't like it either but they are quite nice seats to sit in.
