Norovirus is a completely different virus from Influenza. On the upside the infection usually clears in a maximum of 48 hours. You'll just have to ride it out if you get it.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Don't think so. Maybe for old people and babies. It comes from contact with traces of faecal matter (thanks to mingballs who don't wash their hands after using the jacks) so be vigilant about handwashing and get a box of them alcohol wipes I guess. Not a guarantee you won't get it, but it's bound to diminish it. I think it's died down now though - lots of people had it just before Christmas but I haven't heard of it since then.

The word norovirus makes me think of elephants, and I've no idea why. I think it might be to with snuffaluffagus off sesame street.

Well then ask your doctor instead of people on the Internet.
