    Hiya,

I am a student and am designing a raft type thing out of polyethylene foam and am getting a prototype made by a foam manufacturers in Cork.

The end section of the raft is one piece that has rectangular peg type sections jutting out that will fit into corresponding holes in the raft beams.

The manufacturer has specified a tolerance of +/- 2mm for the particular foam I'm using and I am trying to figure out the difference in measurements I need to specify in order to ensure a somewhat acceptable push/tolerance fit.

I can't get my head around what I should specify, any help very much appreciated.

    Thanks
