I had a driving ban imposed on me which has recently expired. Do I need to resit the theory and Driving test or can I simply reclaim my licence?

(Ban was for bull**** reason but thats another story!)

No you do not unless this was specifically imposed by the court. Incidentally, though it's academic now, you could have applied for your licence back once half of the disqualification period had expired!

Great thanks. Yeah I knew about that but I have been out of the country. Main point of getting it back is so I can drive abroad.

So do I just go to DMV office to claim back. Thanks for the response

    Go where?

If the ban was imposed by the court and you surrendered it, get on to the court's office to find out. It's probably gone to the county council licencing dept.

If you didn't surrender it, you still have the piece of paper?
