Holiday advice - Canada/Alaska/Chicago....

    Hi,

Looking for any and all advice on a holiday I have in mind.
Last week of Feb/First 2 weeks in March:

Looking to do the following -
Vancouver (fit in some skiing and sightseeing)
Alaska (hopefully see Northern Lights. Was thinking of Fairbanks as its meant to be a good lcoation to see them, and Chena Hot Springs is also possible for a visit)
Chicago - Sightseeing, some good music at night.

Nice to have - maybe a trip to Toronto/see Niagara Falls.

    How does that sound?
What would be the best way to do that? As in where to first/second/third etc, in terms of ease of travel/costs etc.

Planning on going on 25th Feb, back 15th March, so 18/19 days.

Any help, advice etc greatly appreciated.

take me with you and I'll plan it all for you :P

Seriously though, I'd say have Alaska in the middle as you'll almost definitely have to have an internal flight to get there. Your other destinations are easily doable from here or UK at reasonable rates.

I would look at activities in each location and plan around there availability. I'd also be inclined to do the skiing first so it doesn't warm up to much, but that shouldn't be an issue. SO maybe leave that till last incase you get injured?

    So Id say either:
    Dub
    Vancouver
    Alaska
    Chicago
    Toronto
    Dub

    Chicago/Toronto interchangeable

    Or

    Dub
    Toronto
    Chicago
    Alaska
    Vancouver
    Dub

Again Toronto/Chicago interchangeable depending on best flight deals from dub and also internally.

    Cheers, much appreciated!
Im of a mind to do the skiing first myself, so I agree there.
By the way, do you think that Vancouver in Canada and Fairbanks in Alaska are good choices?
In terms of their closeness to eachother, things to do there, ease of access etc etc.

so long as you don't break yourself, if your experienced then you should be fine, but don't count on it and make sure you have the 15 quid travel insurance or whatever it is, very cheap for the satisfaction...

    I'm extremely jealous!

Ive skied a fair bit so are competent enough, but sure you could get injured on your first run, its one of those sports.
I've annual travel insurance wit multitrip, so that covers me grand.
