    Morning all.

Is there such a thing as an Airplay dongle? Something that clicks onto the 30-pin connector of my stereo and allows me to airplay my music from my iPhone/iPad?

There are bluetooth adapters for this:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/XCSOURCE-Bluetooth-Receiver-Adapter-iPhone/dp/B0090C6CHO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1357820375&sr=8-3

The phone has to be paired tho (and re-paried each time with the one I have), so not quite as handy as airplay over wifi.

Note also that some of these adapters (especially the cheap ones) require 5v power. So if you have old-ish stereo that only implemented the 12v power lines, they will not work. An easy test for this is: if your iphone charges when in the dock you'll be ok. If you get the "charging is not supported" message it may not work.

You could get an Airport Express or an Apple TV which will connect to the Aux (Airport Express) or Optical Audio/HDMI (Apple TV).

Either option will give you Airplay for around €100.
