    Hi all,

Am due to travel on EI 3305 (Aer Lingus Regional), and just got a text from Aer Lingus saying the plane went technical, and is delayed. They're providing meal vouchers so I'm assuming its going to be a long one (I'm on the train so I haven't a clue when it's ETD is).

Would anyone know what the plan is? If there's an ATR72 subbed in or what? I'm a little excited at the spotting prospects :P

    Thanks :)

EI3305 is cancelled, a/c is tech. You're being transferred to the EI3307 this evening. :o

Yup, was at the gate watching them work on the ATR. (EI-EHH). They were checking the trailing edge of the wing, shaking the flaps (which were deployed) and wiping it down...my uneducated guess would be hydraulics?

I haven't a clue how their SEN ops work, but I'm assuming one of the other 3 ATR42s will be working the 5pm one?

(Also can't stop laughing at the old couple giving out hell about it, saying that they are at the point of tears because of the inconvenience, then saying they're only lying that the plane is tech because they "typical Aer Lingus" crew are lazy"...)

Always the positive side of working with the public. The irrational responses you get when you try to tell the truth. I'm sure the engineers are very happy to be out in the wind and rain purely to delay that couple.

Poor Aer Arann have been having quite the high rate of technical issues over the last 6-12 months. No soon enough for them to get the new ATR-72's delivered.

Agreed. Those -600s will be very welcome!

And also agreed, I work in retail (although not for much longer, going to EI as cabin crew, so not that much of a change :P) and the stuff people complain about is mind boggling!

Fair play to you. Congrats. A busy summer ahead of you.

    Oh...EI or EIR?

    While I would like RE/EIR, I'll be EI (A319/20/21) :)
