    Chain Reaction Cycles http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Offers.aspx

    Bike 24 http://www.bike24.com/Cycling.html

and for hat and glove treats http://www.rapha.cc/

in addition to the above I would have used also roseversand.de, bike-discount.de, merlincycles.co.uk

merlin cycles uses UPS for delivery, it is very quick, 2-3 days at most but you need to be home for the delivery guy or have good neighbors that are home who can take the delivery for you.

Also worth checking out www.evanscycles.co.uk and www.sjscycles.co.uk for more obscure/niche parts that you won't get on CRC or Wiggle.

http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/ are kind of expensive, but the odd time they have some great deals on.

or you could just try your local bike shop
    +1

LBS comes with advice, easy warranty and probably free fitting. In a lot of cases, they're quoting roughly the same prices. There'll definitely be less of a difference than you think, I would price things anyway.
As for clothing, can't recommend try before you buy enough. Cycling clothing is manufactured by lean, mean midgets.

I do my browsing for bits and pieces in various shops and online and then go to LBS and get him to order it , end up cheaper most of the time.

You need to find a good one first though.

Chain Reaction for me too. Always found them very competitive.

Thanks for all the info. Think ill try local for a bit until I get into it more and more. Don't know much about cycling at the moment. Big into golf and thought that was expensive but the cycling isn't cheap either!

Cycling could end up more expensive than golf if you really get into it. There are endless online stores to thrawl through with endless equipment, components, clothing and bikes for you to drool over.
