They send off the details to Rosslare and they get back to you with a price. Takes a few days.

Hi Folks, a related question... I am looking to import an Audi A6 2.0 TDI SE from the UK. No extras on the standard spec, but comes standard with leather seats, parking sensors and SAT Nav. However the same variant in Ireland (2.0 TDI SE) is slightly different in the sense that the Sat Nav in Ireland is an optional extra while it is standard on the UK Model. At the same time, the Irish model has heated seats and enhanced driver info system as standard, which the UK variant doesn't have.

My worry is that I might get charged more than the quote on the revenue website calculator for the Sat Nave even though it is a standard feature... any thoughts?

And it is a 2012 model, so if I get charged, it will be with little or no depreciation, hence the worry :-/

They will send off the details and find anything that is not standard HERE!
You will be charged on everything that is an extra here. I dont think you will get any benefit for stuff that is missing off your car that is standard here.

I've checked the vrt calculator website a few times for certain cars,it seems to me the more interest a model gets the higher the vrt goes.
