scrapping my Seat Ibiza

Hey, I have a 06 Seat Ibiza with a blown engine. I am looking to scrap it as i don't want the hassle of getting it fixed. What are my best options? Will a garage trade-in? Or should i use a "cars for cash" company, does anyone have any experience with these? Or just a scrap yard? Obviously i want the best price possible. Any advice appreciated.

You wont get much for it as is. Fix it if you have the money and sell/keep it; you can always sell one of these.

Depending on what exactly is wrong, it might be better to repair the engine than go buy an unknown engine from a breakers. Some breakers will supply and fit and warranty (maybe 3 months) replacement.

Where in the world are you? Have you a good honest mechanic?

stick it on donedeal, you'll get more cash that way even with a blown engine.

I would have thought an 06 car would fetch quite good money if it's generally OK otherwise. An engine could be got and fitted for mkaybe €500 leaving lots of potential profit for someone.

Apart from the engine, is the car in good condition ? if so then fix it, makes no sense to scrap it. It has very little value with no engine, even if you dont like the idea of keeping it with a replacement engine you should fix it and then sell it, you will only loose the cost of the repairs not most of the cars actual value.
