    Hi,

Need to get a new Irish passport for our 3 year old, the first family passport renewal since we moved over. Does anyone know if the likes of Target, Walgreens etc can do Irish passport photos, I know the differ is size compared to the US requirements. If not any other tips.

    Thanks,
    Sean

There is a PDF document on the Irish Passport website called 'technical advice for photographers', I suggest you print it (3 pages) and bring it with you. They can always use a scissors to snip the photo to meet the proportions required for an Irish passport, even if their machine produces ones designed to meet US requirements.

The document can be found here.....

Where abouts are you located? There's a great little photo shop down the road from me which specialises in all sorts of passport/visa photos. You might have better luck looking for a mamas and papas store than approaching the huge retail stores in your area.

Got to epassportphoto.com where you can select almost any country on earth, then upload a digital photo (they give you instructions on background, positioning etc.) and their online tools help you crop and scale it to meet the requirements of the respective country's passport office.

Edited to add: They can then either print and ship you the photos, or you can download the digital versions for free and print them yourself.
