Im on the hunt for a new tv and have a few picked in my price range; a plasma, led and lcd. Looking online to compare them, there is a lot of conflicting information - some sites say image retention is bad on the led's with gaming, others say plasma's. On the other hand there's good arguements for using an led or plasma for gaming.

    Can anyone advise me better?!

Plasma has a better response time by far, so serious gamers look to that as the reason to choose. Input lag is the term to look for.
Personally I still prefer a good plasma as euro for euro the picture quality is usually better in terms of black levels, contrast and colour reproduction. But everyone is different.

Plasmas now come in a minimum 42inch I think.

Overall, Plasmas still give a much better image than an LCD. LCD can look grainy and are quite poor compared to Plasmas at showing fast movement on screen due to slower response times.

The weight of the TV is just about the only thing LCD has over Plasma, but on this, I really couldn't care less.
