Price around Dublin for a checkup and clean with medical card?

I am very much aware that the government made changes not so long ago meaning only checkups were covered and no longer checkups and cleans.

How much should I expect to pay around Dublin for a checkup and a clean with a Medical card?

That is to say can I go somewhere that combines them and get some of the price off for a medical card or should I just book them separately?

I'm in Ranelagh if you can recommend somewhere close.

A "check up" and a "clean" are two separate items of service, also in your case one may be covered by the med card, the other involves a private fee, they are not "combined". You need firstly to check which clinics provide treatment under med card scheme (many do not), then how much they charge for a scale and polish, this is the price you will pay. Most clinics now have websites with fees, if not, just phone them for the price.

    Hi

Thanks for the advice. That said I know they are separate which is why I mentioned whether or not I could find somewhere that combines them.

I am just off the phone with <SNIP> after seeing a clean is €50 on their website. I enquired if I could get a clean on my medical card there or if I would need to go somewhere else and they said it's no problem. The receptionist then told me because of the medical card the clean will only be €30!

I am happy enough without calling around that price will be hard to beat! :)
