Toshiba laptop speakers not working

Hi Guys,

Trying to figure this out for a while now and I'm getting nowhere, a mate of mine has a Toshiba Tecra R840 Laptop running Win7 (64bit). She did something to her speakers (I say something because she can't remember :rolleyes:)

It shows the audio icon but says there are no audio devices detected. I have installed new drivers, checked the drivers in device manager and there is nothing, troubleshooter does f*** all to be honest.

Any ideas?
