Was just wondering if anybody knows if there are courses out there, where you can get a qualification as a auto electrician. Do you have to go through fas or would you have to go to college, I can't find much info on the topic.

Mostly on the job training I would think, ideally serve your time as a mechanic (or do a year or two of it with or without the FAS bit) and than get the specialist experience as an auto spark. You'll need to be removing alternators etc from cars so some mechanical knowledge would be required.

"Theory" side of it (probably severely lacking tbh) ...

Need to do this course though

Realistically you'd need to be taken on as an "apprentice" with an auto spark I think, very very difficult to land that unfortunately.

Still, if you really want it to make a start a formal qualification would do noharm so a cert in auto whatever would be a start, you'll need the hands on mechanical experience too though.

Don't think there is a defined route to being an auto spark though.

I don't know anything about them, but way back 'in the day', I gave up a full-time job and went to full-time College in UK for my motorcycle training.

Would you be prepared to go that far ?

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
