Compared a few screens lately, not sure if they were the exact models, but Samsung have the edge on picture quality in my opinion. LG image processing just seems a little less crisp, blurred HD slightly and a yellowish cast.

I was looking at the lg in the shop and it looked good.
Like the thinner edge too
Sold out at the moment though.
