Hi all, might have to go to Edinburgh next week on my own dime, just wondering what's the least hassle-free (without a taxi) way of getting from the airport to the city centre - is there an Aircoach / Luas / Dart type system available? Or at a push, how much would a cab cost?

They have an Airlink service that runs every ten minutes or so. It's 7 days a week, 24 hour a day. If memory serves me right, it's about thirty minutes travel time Edinburgh City Centre. And you can book a return ticket too. Which was £6 when I used it last year. I hope that helps.

Yeah, bus is £3.50 one way or £6 return. Free wifi on board. We got the bus in but as we were leaving at 5am booked a taxi to take us from our hotel at Haymarket to the airport. Just under £30  Will stick to the bus next time, it runs 24 hours.

    You got done.

It only cost me between £15 and £20 the three times i got a taxi from the airport to Haymarket last year.

Saying that, the bus is great. Very efficient and you can get it on the road beside Haymarket too.
