Herd Number

    Probably been done a thousand times but a quick question. We have a herd number at home for years. We got out of sheep and cattle about 15 years ago and have been breeding, breaking and training racehorses. I am going to buy a few heifer calves in the next few weeks and keep them to calve in time to build up a small suckler herd.

    Now we have had no stock registered in the herd number for the last 15 years and I understand that it has to be reactivated. How to I go about doing this? Is it a long process. We still have a crush and housing etc. in place. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
