    Hi,

I'm just looking for a general recommendation for which spec of smart phone i should get.

Looking for the obvious stuff- internet connection, apps, camera- not buying second hand as I've heard battery life can become a problem quickly.

I don't want anything particularly glamorous or fashionable- just good value and reliable.

    Thanks!

    O2

    No OS preference tbh

Budget is really maybe 300, though can extend that a bit. Cheaper is better though

Have a look at Xperia J. Their half decent phone close to 220. Has the usual smartphone features, just a little bit above it you'd have a HTC 8S fairly similar, just runs windows phone 8 instead.
