    Hi All,

I have a genuine 1998 Rolex GMT, which I bought at Weir 6 months ago and I would like to sell or swap for a Submariner.
    Anybody interested?

    thanks

Agreed with what was said above. A fake rolex will be obviously fake and when someone spots it they will think you are a knob even if you think it is cool.

Perhaps look in to a homage watch? The more expensive ones are damned good looking....but the puritans on here don't like them.

And the place for selling watches is on Adverts.ie!

Just a heads up folks. From the charter of the forum: No links to fake/replica watch sites or individual sales on auction sites. Indeed discussion of fake/replica watches will be heavily modded. I've no big issue with discussion on "homage" type watches from other makers(so long as it doesn't descend into flaming, but obviously links to fake watches of any brand will be snipped. Thanks.

PS it's not just about the snooty factor/stealing is wrong stuff, it could get Boards into trouble too so...

I mustn't be a puritan then. :D I like some of the homages of various types, not just Rolex. It can be a grey area. I mean there are homages to the two crown style compressor cased IWC divers and I've seen some purists freak about them, yet IWC weren't even the first(or only) makers to use the style.

They have a small display between the front door and the side door. Nearer the side door. I only found this out just before Christmas.

seen this exact watch in the window of Weirs a couple weeks ago and it looks very bling

It is bling. A full gold sub is as bling as you can get without covering it in diamonds!

i dont think the sub itself is overtly blingy but any solid gold watch on a bracelet is going to look bling tastic, i think the starburst blue dial adds to the effect

If the OP loves the look of this watch then so be it.

Nah, the leopard print dial one beats it for chavtasticism. A white gold sub has similar blue bezel and dial and can fly under the radar by being bling without appearing bling! That being said, all my SS watches get daily dings. Would hate to see what happens with an 18ct gold bracelet/case.
