So im putting together a CV, as i was made redundant just before xmas..listing previous work experience im finding it quite difficult to actually decribe the work i did during my college years..

During college i worked for a local stone quarry..this could mean one day i was cleaning out the stone slurry pits, the next helping load trucks for deliveries/unload, packaging, etc etc..the term general operative springs to mind but i dont know wheter this would be the correct terminology to use..cant put skivvy down, but thats kind of what i was if you know what i mean :)

I came straight out of college into an engineering practice and i want to fillup previous work experiance as having nothing there, i think looks bad in the employers eyes..

    Any help appreciated..

General operative sounds fine.....spell out the responsibilities/activites in bullets to support.
