    I bought a new tv -

Tv is great but im in the process of trying to connect the pc to the TV. With previous tv's I connected the hdmi cable (with dvi converter) and used a separate audio cable to transmit sound.
On the new tv, there seems to be no 'audio in' at all.

Whats the best way to get audio from the pc to the tv?

Does the TV not have HDMI, HDMI will carry audio

If you're using HDMI and there is no sound, maybe windows is trying to play audio through speakers. To check, right click on the taskbar volume icon, click "Playback devices", click on your tv and click "Set Default", Windows will now use the TV as the audio output device.

If I'm reading the OP correctly, his PC only has DVI, not HDMI, and on his old TV he was using a DVI-HDMI adapter for the video and a separate (presumably analogue) audio connector for the audio. The problem is that his new TV doesn't seem to have an audio in of any sort, so he's got a problem.

AFAIK there's no way to simply 'inject' audio of any sort into an HDMI stream using any kind of adapter, so the only thing I can suggest is to buy a cheap video card with an HDMI output for the PC. If it's a laptop though, then you're screwed basically.
