If you have a court appearance in a county other than Dublin but you are now living in Dublin will it appear in national newspapers like the Evening Herald as well as the county the offence was committed?

Courts are administered in public per the Constitution. Could arise anywhere if syndicated.

Depends if its interesting enough maybe, if not then may not even appear in the local papers.

If there is a freelance guy in the court and he hears the current Dublin address he may send the report to the Dublin papers in the hope that they pick it up.

Papers like things to do with violence, sex, the Internet and anything that is a bit different. If it is run of the mill chances of being reported are slim, they of course also like famous people.

Out of interest, do any reporters hang around the Master's Court?

    Yes, sometimes.

It depends on if it is a slow newsday for the paper concerned.

It is not uncommon for people locally to be named in the local rag for appearing in some obscure court down the country for something trivial.

I am sure court reporters send their stories all over the country.

As said, if it's a headline case like murder or a vicious rape or particularly bad assault, then the national papers will usually report it to some degree. It would be rare enough for them to bother reporting on something in a district or circuit court unless there's something particularly strange or interesting about the case:

there will be a case happening tomorrow(Thurs) in a District court (outside Dublin) which will be in the national newspapers on Fri.

the address of the person is not really important as long as the story is of national interest (ergo allowing the media to justify their coverage...not that they need to justify it !!)

There will also be a District Court (in Dublin) case and High Court case which will be covered by most if not all of the national papers (high court case will be covered by all the papers)
