    Hi

Myself and my sister have registered to do the paris half marathon on the 3rd March. Just wondering has anyone done it and if so what is the course like? Could it be a PB course? Had a look at the map and it looks like there are a few hilly parts  especially near the end, not exactly at my best at mile 10  Anyway any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Boboloo,

I did the Paris half in 2009, and found the course pretty flat... Looking at the race map now, is seems to be the reverse of the direction I ran in 2009.
A well supported and organised race... PB really depends on the shape you are in, and your previous PB's... My comment below from 2009...

    Paris Half Marathon 8-March-09
    Completed in 1:43:37.
Very slow start (due to bunching), but though it did me good in the second half of the race. Felt good most of the way around. Finished strong. It lashed rain half way around and very cold for first half.
Had a few drink on Friday and Sat before race. Prob could have knocked off 4-5 mins if fit, and no beer.

    Hi MisterDrak

Many thanks for responding. Thats good to know about the bunching at the beginning, takes the pressure of getting out fast. Good to hear that it is pretty flat, mind you looking at the elevation map it does seem to have a hilly finish - but I suppose at that stage I will be thinking about that bottle of vino!

So thanks again and I would be more than happy with a time like your own - going to try and do it 1:48/49 and see how I go.
