Am I being led on?

I'll try my best to sum this up without dragging on and on. I had a huge crush on a girl at work (Christmas Staff) and at a the party we had when all of our contracts ended I told her. She seemed really flattered, and went on to tell me how I really am the nicest guy she's met because I'm so genuine, but then she told me how she's just out of a 2 year relationship and she's not ready for a relationship. But then we kissed.. After that I was just kinda sitting by myself trying to take this all in trying to figure out what's going on. She came over to me and apologized because she's not looking for anything serious now, and then we went outside and talked together for nearly an hour. We talked about a ton of stuff, mainly personal things and especially how we're both hopeless romantics.. She talked about how if she could take a year by herself she would, but then we just wound up kissing again. We went our separate ways for the night and in the morning she texted me asking how I was feeling. I'm just really unsure what's going on, I need a bit of advice? Am I supposed to "play this slow" and see if anything could happen out of it? Or was I a bit led on that night, any words are appreciated :)

Well I don't think you were being "led on". In fact she sounds pretty honest. You may think that her kissing you means she wants a relationship but she may see it as a bit of fun.

She has told you where she stands and that she's not ready for another relationship. It doesn't mean she doesn't like you and that she doesn't want to date or have fun. But I wouldn't be expecting a great relationship to blossom here.

That's just what I think though.

I've been that guy more times than I'd care to mention. I believe you have stated your case and the ball is in her court now. If there is any more to the story, you won't be long finding out but all you can do is hope for the best, prepare for the worst but you should definitely put it out of your mind as best you can. You wouldn't be the first to be lead on in this kind of situation. If she texts randomly or makes any other kind of contact- for your own sanity, be a little Fonzie. Don't read anything into it because it's actions that count and you are the one most likely to get hurt in the confusion.
