You can get the Kaplan books at Hodges Figges in Dublin or order them online.

Thanks for the reply, would you know if the books would be enough to learn at home etc?

I contacted a website in england that they ACCA in Dublin suggested and they are charging £160 per subject for books/materials

Id be looking at £350 for the 2 subjects inc posting, Im currently not working and find this to be alot for somthing I wont need after the exams

The books combined with the technical articles published on the ACCA website should be enough to get you through the exams. There's also a website called OpenTuition which can be helpful. My advice would be to get started as soon as possible and get through the material with 4-6 weeks left before the exams then concentrate on answering past exam questions.

I checked bbp website and they don't have F8 Irish variant. Do you know if there are any books for F8 Irish variant for 2013 exams? I plan to study at home as it's theory only.

For F8 Audit and Assurance you can use the UK books (I did) there's very little difference in the two syllabuses, just a few references to the Companies Acts.

    Hi there,

I am going to F7 and F8 in June and I am finding difficult to choose to go to Dave o'Donoghue for both at independent or to Garret Mulvin and Leo Norris.

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Many thanks,

For F7 I would definitley go with Garret Mulvin. He is an excellent lecturer, very organised and thorough. I don't know about the other lecturers
