    Has anyone seen this issue over the last few weeks?
    When trying to connect to live radio, RTE 1 or 2, it jumps immediately to an RTE pod cast, not allowing access to live radio. I am listening on a Denon Ceol. I mailed Denon and they told me it is an RTE issue. I checked a lot of other Irish and foreign stations and all work fine.

    I bought an Internet Radio as a present in Jan and thought there was defect with the unit itself and its kept saying 'connecting'. The user of this radio listens to RTE One mainly and after doing a bit of searching on the net have found there is an issue with the RTE signal. Other stations seem to be work fine. Bit annoying really

    On a (possibly?) related note, it rarely works in Tunein Pro, either. Because I live in a valley, the FM reception at my bedside locker just isn't up to the job.

    A bit annoying when ever other station I choose to listen to the world over seems to manage just fine.

    i have the same issue in the UK. have an internet radio that only tunes in intermittently, but i can't get it using tunein on ipod.
    when i use tunein on my samsung phone, there's a message at the start saying that they will stop using windows and real player format from the end of feb. that's the internet radio kapput for radio one anyway.
    have to use the rte radio app for the ipod though.

    Yep, I noticed that too. It's an ipod and docking station built into a receiver I have. Ironically, I mostly use it for listening to UK channels!

    Funnily enough, RTE seems to start working again after the odd tunein update-but never for very long.

    This has been a bugbear of mine for ages. I have asked RTE any chance of a 24 or 32 kbps stream as RTE Radio 1 is mainly speech based. This would cut down on data use and increase the buffer thus very few breaks while mobile.

    To prove the buffer theory, try listening to KUHF on Tunein then go to choose stream and pick 24 kbps.

    Finally try this guy in RTE he seems to be in charge of streams etc.

    <snip>

    Radio works fine at Irish radio stations website
