Blue Tack in my Laptop

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has ever used Blue Tack in their laptops before and does it withstand the heat.
    Why?
I disassembled mine to clean out the fan and broke a little piece of plastic that holds in the RTC (CMOS) battery. When reassembling the machine the only thing I had to hand was a piece of Blue Tack to hold in the battery.
So far it`s working as I`m writing this on the same machine and the clock hasn`t gone mad just yet.

So do you think it will hold or should I try to make it more secure as soon as I can?

    Thanks in advance
    Brian

blu tack will soften at temps over 70c, non-porous surface will decrease its effectiveness further

Blu Tack is the original reusable adhesive. its very good product do not need to worry about it.
