Lionel (I'm literally bigger than Jesus right now) Messi has just won world player of the year for the 4th year in a row.

He shows up wearing a lovely Polka Dot suit and to be fair the guy he can do whatever he wants because he is a better person than any of us.

Anyway, do you think it will catch on? Would you wear one?

    Maybe. In snooker circles.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Ah yes, him. I remember him well now

The guy doesn't drink and spends most of his time going out for dinner and watching movies (or so he says).

He needs to do something with his money. Obviously this is a bit of craic for him.

I think it looks really good.

    I'm wearing one right now.

    Well the jacket part.

    And an adult diaper.

    And nothing else.

    Sexy, eh?

Not as cool as Barney Stinson's diamond suit.

Messi could surely afford one of them! Cheapskate!

The great philosophical debate of its time: was the bikini yellow or were the polka dots?

The important thing here is that it was itsy and bitsy!

    Tribute?

Given that he's the best player in the world, if the worst he spends his money on is a polka dot suit then fair play to him I say (I actually don't think it's that bad anyway!)

There are footballers in England barely fit to shine Messi's boots but spend their money on all sorts of crap, have no family values- or any sort of values really. They literally have more money than sense.

It's one of the main things I prefer about the Spanish footballers, they're just so much more likeable as people.

Those Spanish footballers also tend to be a lot more Argentinian than their English counterparts

I know he's Argentinian, I meant the Barcelona crowd. Should have made that clearer, was just thinking of the others he was nominated with over the last few years from his club so that's why I said Spanish. But same thing about him, they just seem to have their heads screwed on more.

Woah...hold on there now, dont talk to me like you know me

Its highly likely that Messi is a better soccer player than any of us

and possibly a more determined, disciplined person in terms of skills/physical training

but a better person, not necessarily

Given the right motivation/conditioning I'm willing to bet Messi could be a much bigger scumbag than some of us exposed to the same environment

I am willing to bet the princely sum of 1 euro on this

Make it €2 and its on....b1tch!

Apparently it is more than meets the eye. It has been revealed that the suit was specially commissioned and had 2 unique, hidden, qualities.
    1. There are exactly the same amount of dots on the suit as goals he scored in 2012. 1 dot for each goal.
    2. If viewed through 3d glasses there is a hidden message to the guy who came second place.

None of these things are true.

Each dot represents a goal he scored in 2012, that's a fact .
May not be an actual fact

Pele can shove his world cups up his bangle, world cup winner or no world cup winner Messi is probably the best player of all time who played in what was probably the best Barcelona team of all time.

The guy is only 25 too, he'll win plenty more Ballon d'Or awards before his career is over.

Totally agree. Although I could score in the Spanish league.

That's hideous. And Diego Maradona's suit is horrible, too.
