If you win what company do you get a pricelist from?

I assume this isnt a qualifier like those held in other countries and is just a NOGI comp with ADCC rules? Do the ADCC rules apply to the kids and teens divisions, nothing like a some heel hooking or slamming in the smallies divisions......

    From their Facebook page:
The advanced winners will be ranked as official Irish ADCC champions and put in the World ADCC rankings as such, from this we'll be able to determine who can be sent on to the Europeans later this year, please visit the Adcc Ireland page for more information, email adccireland@gmail.com or as seen in the poster contact Mariusz Domasat head of ADCC Ireland on 085 7103646

So it seems it is a ADCC qualifier.

€50 is expensive but from looking at other ADCC events it seems the norm. ADCC Croatia is €50, Spain is €50, Russia is 1500 rubels (€37.81), Finland €50, europeans €50.....

Think its €30 in Slovakia but the average wage is under €800 per month so that's understandable!

I don't get it, it says you enter the rankings and thats what determines european qualification, how does the rankings work?

If you have a look at the adcc Ireland facebook page they say the top 3 in each category will win high quality medals, high quality rash guards and supplements from a sponsor. The event also has a lot of good sponsors so it looks like a lot of money is being spent on it.

As of a couple of days ago it also says the next 30 registrants get one of these t-shirts free - http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/775612_4314516780421_670165896_o.jpg

In my opinion the worst comp in ireland I have been in last 4 years. they didnt even bother to mark the mats, so ppl where running around asking where is mat 3 or 1.a few ppl never got called to fight even tho they where on the competitiors list.no food or drink provided what for a such a long day was a nightmare.nobody knew what division was next so I was warming up 3 times before entering the mat.no barriers between spectactors and competitiors what allowed ppl sitting on the mats.warming up area as big as a toilet and all of this for a prize of 50 euro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only good thing were medals but still they won't help the situation.

oh and did I mention th guy I was fighting with had his brazilian coach and team mate on the referee table counting points? yep, that's how it looked like.

Marius and the rest involved you just a bag of gob****es! ADCC my ass

The warm up area aside,it was a shambles
I do understand that it was the first one and the guys may have been new to it but with a massive name like ADCC to promote a much larger effort should have been made, especially as it was 50 euro to enter.

Twice I asked about a rough estimate of time for my weight bracket, first answer was "I have no idea whatsoever" and the second was "maybe an hour or so" in the end it was over two hours before it was called and then to my surprise my name wasn't even on the competitor list, a problem that I had tryed to resolve twice already!by the time they got my name back on it the final was underway and I was told "don't worry we'll find you someone to fight"

That's a shame, hopefully they take the criticism well and sort out the little issues. At-least now they know how the format of the competition and on average how long each division should take. Although for 50€ you would imagine it would be perfect. But I will have high expectations for the next one.

First big competition or not. If you pay €50 for a competition entry fee it better be professionally run

Definitely, also it would be nice if they kept track of the people who pay €50 so they can actually compete.....
