    Looking at my options.

Was considering upgrading my bike but wouldnt be allowed to have 2 (the bank of godtabh isnt giving loans these days!) so I'd sell to upgrade.

Obviously a few options to consider.

But then I saw this add

    photo.jpg

    I currently have a BH Zappire 6.5

I think the specs are as follows

    Frame ZAPHIRE 2012
    fork Zaphire carbon
    Power BH Alu
    Steering Bh Lite 1 1/8"
    Shift Levers Microshift 8v
    Rear change Shimano RD2300
    Deflector Microshift R52
    Connecting rod FSA Tempo 50/34
    to peddle Integrated
    Cassete Shimano HG50 13/26 8v.
    Chain KMC Z51
    Break levers BH doble pivote
Wheels Stylus 36 Tyres Rubena Syrinx 700x23
Saddle San Marco ProVip Saddle Clamps Zaphire 2012
Seat post BH Alu 27,2 Handlebar BH Alu

Is an upgrade better then buying new or second hand?

Sora and r500's are pretty much the most basic components you can buy, you'd buy a full 105 groupset from bike-discount.de for 450e, if you were to go down that route.

For 425, you could buy a pretty good wheelset, with an instantaneous improvement in bike handling. Better groupsets usually mean lighter and better shifting, but you wont always necessarily feel (notice) the difference

If you were to buy a group set online could you get a bike mechanic to fit it? Wouldn't have a clue what to do

What are you hoping to achieve upgrade with this upgrade? Is your current groupset not shifting correctly? Have you had the bike serviced recently/ever?

Bike was last serviced about 2 months ago. Will be serviced again at the end of the month.

Not 100% sure what I am looking for. A more consistent gear change would be nice

Not as good as the 105, but on Bike24, they advertise a full tiagra groupset for €340 and fulcrum 7 wheelset for €145. They're more expensive than bike-discount.de for postage on wheels mind, comes out at €514 for both shipped.

I picked up some fulcrum 7s on ribble last year and love them.
