Hi Guys, what would the recommended cylinder size be for a 1.5 bar Showermate pump. I currently have a 18 X 30 in hotpress but doubt it is large enough. Getting a quote tomorrow for stove with boiler install so if cylinder needs to be twin coil then I want them to quote a big enough replacement cylinder.

Depending on the head of pressure supplying it, at 1.0bar head, it will give approx a flow rate of 12 litres per minute. So that would be 6 to cold & 6 to cold. 10 minute shower if the shower can pass the volume, that would be 60 litres of hot.
An 18 x 30 cylinder is approx 136 litres so you can see the volume required for the number of showers to be used.

Hi Shane, many thanks for your reply. Just one more question, the Mira Shower Bar came with a 12Ltr/Min flow regulator. Sorry if a stupid question but I presume fitting this would restrict flow to 12/min? Or is this used to increase to 12ltr/min from a lower factory flow rate? Manual gave no info whatsoever for this regulator. Again I presume it fit's to the hose outlet on the shower valve?

Flow regulators are generally fitted on the inlet connectors, not in the head or hose.
You can download a installation manual from the Mira Showers web site.
The ratio of water used in a thermistatic mixing vslve is 60/40. So your shower valve will be using 8 lrs of hot & 4lrs of cold water per minute.
In relation to the cylinder size, that would depend on the amount of stored hot water and family usage.
    A 42 x 18 cylinder should be a big as you will need, with a 12lr per min shower & a 1.5 bar pump.
