    Hi,

Have been looking at the Samsung ES8000 series TV's for a while now and have almost jumped a few times but realistically they do more than I want and I don't really want to pay for features I'll never use.

Question is, what (if any) tv has a similar quality image output and refresh to the ES, 46 inch or above without voice/gesture control, apps and the rest.

Any help appreciated, especially if I can purchase from you.

    Bugs,

Thanks for the Post and apologies for the delay getting back to you.

I have a few options for you that have stunning pic quality but avoid some of the more gimmicky features as you describe - but to be fair to the Sammy most of them will have apps and web access at this level:

LG 46LM860 - Stunning picture quality and also really quite good audio quality as well!
    £1199.95

LG 55LM960 - Really really a class bit of kit and also includes a built-in Freesat HD Tuner
    £1999.95

However if it was me I would pop off and get the 46PFL7007 - which is just a completely exceptional TV for the money at £1299.95 (including free delivery and 5 year warranty!)

I can also do the 55PFL7007 at just £1599.95 if you wanted an even bigger experience - we installed the 55 7007 earlier this week in a Boardroom and it's really stunning - it uses really high quality materials and the audio quality is really brilliant ( the speakers and sub are contained in a separate bar / pedestal that you can mount to the rear of the TV. It also has a huge feature count but with really useful things such as Push TV and wifi media connect to allow you to wirelessly show your PC screen on the Philips - but to be honest it's really the picture quality and sheer quality of the materials that impresses.. (its a Bit*h to install on a wall - be warned!)

Thanks again and keep us posted if we can assist,
