I'm thinking of doing physiology next year. I hear its the best degree program to go for if you're half planning on going for medicine as a post graduate student, and will greatly reduce the length of your medical degree.

Here there are a list of careers which you can be with a physiology degree, which seems to be a bit misleading.. especially when you "psychologist" listed amongst the careers. I don't think you'd even be qualified to work with a psychologist with this degree. Is the 4 year honours degree any good without doing post graduate studies?

Hey! I haven't a clue about Physiology careers or any of that, but I don't think it'd make a difference to the length of any future medical degree, in Ireland anyway. It would make it easier for you to understand, but the course lengths would be the same.

That said, all the physiology I've seen so far is lovely stuff and pretty interesting :-)
If you're thinking postgrad med, then all you need is a 2:1 degree in any (Level 8? Can anyone clarify?) course, it doesn't have to be sciencey :-)

    Go n-éirí leat :-)
