Hi everyone just a quick question I would appreciate any help! I am due to fly shannon to heathrow to san francisco tommorow. The first flight is with Aer Lingus and then the second is with BA however we have all BA flight numbers (we booked the flights through a third party) I was able to check in online for the aer lingus flight but not BA so I rang them and they said I will have to check in at the airport and that Aer Lingus might be able to check me in the whole way to SF I rang Aer Lingus but they were no help I was wondering would this be possible? and if not she said we will have to check in in heathrow but we only have 2 hrs 10 mins of a stopover would this be enough time for the process? Sorry for asking these questions but the airlines were no help.

-EI may be able to check you in at the airport. depends on whether BA have 'opened' the flight at that time.

-As it is 1 ticket EI most probably will be able to check your bags right through to SFO. Make sure to ask this when checking in at SNN.

-2 hours is fine, EI provide a bus transfer to the Flight Connections Centre. Saves you the walk and/or getting lost in LHR. You can check in if required at the FCC.

Ppl do this transfer all the time, don't be stressing about it.

I'm a wimp, I never check-in bags for two flights, that way if things get broken or go missing, I know which airline to blame :)

2 hours is grand in Heathrow once your bags are going straight through from Shannon. I've done it with collecting bags and checking in to the BA flight too, but would not fancy doing that again, bit rush rush rush.

Aer Lingus in Shannon checked me and my bags in the whole way to San Francisco. Happy days. Thanks for the help!
