no, but Ice T got his name from an author called Iceberg Slim.

Eminem was originally called M&M for his initials, but that was a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The rapper Common, used to be Common Sense but was forced to change it legally.

2 Chainz used to be called Titty Boy, but as soon as he got some label recognition he had to change his name.

That's true, as he visual proves on the inside cover sleeve of his Only Built For Cuban Linx album, see here.

Some of the posts in this thread are brilliant.

Had a Google there and one of the first results that popped up was this poster with a load of rappers names on it.

It only costs $36. There are 636 rappers names on it and they are all linked together by different parts of their names.

In the link there's an interactive zoom feature that looks at some of the names in detail. Must have taken ages to put this together.
