Hi, Does anyone have experience in ordering from www.victoriaplumb.com from Ireland. I am looking at getting a shower enclosure and washbasin and few other bits for renovating my bathroom. I cannot place an order on their website, it says to contact customer care for shipping quotes. The customer care number is 08448044545, i am unable to call this from my mobile phone. I tried +4408448044545 and +44 8448044545 too with no luck. I email them for a quote last week and no reply yet :(

I cannot find any online store in ROI with prices and stock similar to victoriaplumb

Yup, we got our entire house's sanitary ware through these guys - must say I found them pretty good. Considering the amount of stuff we got, I didn't find their shipping costs too excessive. Was a couple of years ago at this stage, but if I remember correctly, I talked to the lady and placed the order over the phone. What I did was on their site, add everything to the basket that I wanted, then printed out my basket contents so I had it in front of me when I called. I don't remember the number I used at the time, but based on the number you provided above I would say try this:

    00448448044545

(when you add an international prefix (0044 in this case), you need to drop the leading 0 from the local area code).

I think they may ship by the pallet, so if you have less than that, you may still have to pay for a whole pallet's carriage. They'll be able to tell you that themselves, or whatever their current policy is (our quantities worked out well though).

    Whoops! :)
I should pay more attention - you say you tried this already.

Just be careful about pressure problems. Most uk taps are high pressure by Irish standards and that is even where they say low pressure. Low pressure in the uk is 0.5 bar which is high over here.

Additionally. Some pottery can be damaged on delivery. Check there damages policy.

Thanks. I am planning to order only one tap, will check with them re pressure and damages policy

Yip but the pressure problem will also apply with showers and shower valve especially if they are gravity fed and thermostatic.

Victoriaplumb website is not capable of calculating shipping outside UK. After many calls to them and waiting over over 2 weeks, I got a shipping quote from victoriaplumb. They said that due to backlog from Christmas they could not reply. The shipping worked out to €135 for a shower enclosure, tray, washbasin and some other bits and bobs. Overall I found their communication very poor and shipping expensive.

I ordered from www.bathroomevolution.ie, I am impressed by their customer service. They were proactive and called me to complete the transaction. Shipping was free for my order (they offer free shipping over a certain value).
The stuff arrived today, the delivery guy was very friendly polish guy. He unloaded and moved all items to house. Everything looks very good, good packaging, great quality with detailed fitting instructions :)

My only grip is shipping which took 4 weeks. They blamed it on poor weather in UK

Any decent builders providers (Chadwicks,Smiths and Heiton Buckleys).

Also the likes of B&Q Liffey Valley,Davies Bathroom Centre Harmanstown Road, and Sonas Showrooms in Ballycoolin Industrial Estate..

You would be very surprized by what you can find if you take a drive around and have a quick look.
