Get rid of the busiest forum on the site? Sure kill the goose that lays the golden ad impressions.

Is it because we love to ****e-talk and out-****e-talk one another?

People like to express and read ill-informed populist opinions while simultaneously procrastinating.

Because AH is after hours and is for drunks.

thanks whoring. It's like currency..except it's on the internet..and it's not worth anything.

I'd say After Hours is the most popular because it's the only place you can talk about anything, I feel the specialised forums are a place you're more than likely going to get crucified unless you know EXACTLY what you're talking about.

After Hours is the pub, other forums(excluding likes of C+H and that) are like...clubs.

Cause if they are successful, their post could be immortalized for ever more and some day, many years from now, while walking through Tesco, they could get an offer of free sex based on that posts notoriety.

    Ok, you're definitely a re-reg.

I think it's because of the Black South American Chinese Islamic Jew community living in Cork wanting to interact with other Irish born folk without having to talk to actual Cork people, it's all politics man, it's pc gone mad, and it's all about government control, I think it's unfair and by god it ain't right.

Jeepy creepy, what would they do without it?

It does what it says on the tin - it's like after hours in your local. Casually talking about the topics of the day without going into so much detail that only the professional folks can take part, taking the piss out of idiots, winding up people who don't know what they're talking about, trying to flirt without looking like an arsehole, ranting about things you have no real understanding of - it's the greatest finger on the pulse of Irish society I've ever encountered.

It's random, talking about current affairs and also things that make you go wtf ?

I always seem to pick up new info and get a laugh reading some peoples posts

Well it's the most random forum on Boards.

But after looking back in the archives and of former posters like Flutterinbantam (legend), Snyper etc. AH has become a lot more strict for handing out bans to unpopular lone wolf posters and clannish when it comes to certain topics. Especially Racism.

It could be more laid back I think. Still though. Beats Facebook and Twitter. :)

Every time you hit "submit reply" on AH, boards releases a little bit of heroin through your mouse button. No-one wants to be here after a while, they just post to feel normal.
