How much do you value your bike at? I'd like to say mine is worth about 1800e. Ridley Noah, Ultegra/Dura ace mix, cheapish wheels I suppose.

How about ye? What price do ye put on yours?

Value to sell or replace? My bike is a 2nd hand Ridley Triton, bought for €300, and spent another €400 or so on new wheels (fulrcum 7s), saddle, bars etc.. To replace with a similar 2nd hand bike, and get it built up to my desired fit would probably cost similar money. If I sold the bike and parts separately I might get €400 all in.

That said, I get a lot more value out of my bike than what I paid for it. I quite like that it's a cheap bike as well, as I don't have to be too precious about it.

Cost €1300 new, 3 years old, I'd say I'd be lucky to get €600 for it. Don't know if I could bring myself to sell it though.

Bikes are always worth far more in sentimental value than in monetary value.

Paid 310 for my planet X kaffenback. Have put about 400 into it for new wheels tyres and saddle. Think it would cost around 800 to replace the same parts if stolen.

Would like to think I'd get 500 at least for it.

My Ridley Compact is a year old. I paid 900 for it, although it had been advertised at €1100. Its in near new condition so I'd like to think its still worth at least €700.

Spent about €700 putting together my hand built steel frame bike. I'd probably get about the same back if I tried to sell it but, hand on my heart, I wouldn't even consider parting with it for any less than €2000. (I've developed an unhealthy relationship with that bike)

Well, you've a good eye for bike valuation then ;)

I meant my old 80's Nuovo record bike though.

Haven't seen the Nuovo, is it in the bike users fleet thread?
