Hi I have a la pierre audacio 400l at moment and its a compfortable bike. Will be upgrading to sensium soon and like the fit of la pierre and find it compfy for longer rides as well.. that being said you may get better advice from other ladies who have been cycling longer than me.

excellent thanks for that i don't want to go advising her to spend loads on a bike and then maybe she might hate it these things happen.
    thanks for the reply.

She does not need a female specific bike.

What Lusk Doyle said. Just get a normal road bike that fits her well.

What BX 19 said. A bike that fits her well, not necessarily female specific.

to expand a little. there is no real purpose to these bikes other than to charge more for a lower spec and hence they should be avoided.

Got my honey a Claud Butler Roubaix from the LBS for €680. Going to change the crankset to a compact - carbon forks and Sora gears - she loves it and is very happy/comfortable on it.

The specialized dolce series are good women's bike. They come with a triple chainring as well.

I'm sure I don't need to tell a lad with 2000 posts that the more she spends, the nicer the bike will be to ride, and the more she will like cycling it :).

Pretend it's a bike for yourself, and then decide honestly if that Halfords triple for 475 euro is really the right choice... :)

well i know exactly the bike she should get but yeah it does cost a lot of money and i don't want to put her off by buying cheap.
i'm a cyclist myself have been most so yeah i know how important it is to get the right bike .;)
