Below (quotes) is the official line for Dublin & District anyway.

It's not that restrictive at all really. Obviously it's great if your club have matching gear, but that's by no means a requirement! Colours don't even mind - you don't necessarily have to match with you partner at all. Just keep in mind matching gear or colours makes it harder for the people you're playing to tell the difference between you and pick players to target! :)

Think you should be safe enough with three quarter lengths although being a bloke I don't know what they are so am hazarding a guess at short tracksuit?
Only appropriate Badminton clothing should be worn.
For Semi-Finals & Finals, tracksuits may be worn during warm up but must be removed before the start of the Match. Shirts, shorts and skirts designed for leisurewear are not allowed and players will be asked to change them before the start of the game.

Examples of Unsuitable Clothing / shirts would be as follows:

    • Those advertising a clothing manufacturer other than a Sports manufacturer,
    • Those advertising a Club other than the Club the player is representing on the night.
    • Football shirts or those advertising a product or place.
    • Cycle shorts are not permitted.
