JobBridge: New graduates or Professionals?

Just looking for some advice on jobbridge. In theory, it sounds like something best suited to new graduates. But given the employment shortages at present, its likely professionals are also taking up jobbridge positions.
Its 10 yrs since I graduated with a degree and I have a fair amount of professional experience. But I've been on jobseekers for the last four months, have applied for many positions, but no sign of a job yet.
I'm inclined to start applying for Jobbridge intern roles and I'm just wondering what is the attitude of employers with this.
Would they generally have a preference for a recent graduate over an experienced professional, or vice-versa? Or does it make a difference at all?

I've applied for several Jobbridge roles, and have been turned down for all due to the fact I have experience!

The supposed 'idea' of Jobbridge was also to break the cycle of unemployment and to fill in some of the gaps on your CV. But the employers I've spoken to don't seem to see that. They just want someone on the cheap!

Thanks for your reply and sorry to hear that.
It confirms my suspicion that JobBridge may not be much use to more experienced workers:(
Best of luck with the jobhunting.

I got 6 months having retrained in IT and done numerous degrees since being out of work.
After the internship they gave me a job.

It depends. Some jobBridge openings advertised are clearly mid-career roles, others are intended to be more entry-level, and usually the requirements given in the ad should give you an idea of which type of opening it is. I know of people who're recent graduates, have applied for the more entry-level type roles, and have been blown out of the water by seasoned professionals who would rather jobBridge than stay at home.

If you see something you like there's no harm in applying. You never know.

Thanks for the advice. A lot of the positions advertised in my area appear to be entry-level type roles alright.
I think I'll limit my application to anything that appears more suited to someone with experience.
